Common Wiki Problems

I have come to realize that one of the most common problems with wikis is that they are frequently unfocused and the information is poorly organized. When using wikis with students, I think that it is best to focus the wiki on one topic.

Using wikispaces stylesheet

With a little bit of CSS knowledge you can change most aspects of how your wikispace pages look. For example, you can change font size, font color, spacing between images, text wrapping etc.

We are planning a presentation for our colleagues at WHS to show what a wiki is and how it can increase student learning in and out of the classroom!

RSS Feeds

I know a lot of you teachers have blogs. Did you know that you can integrate your blog into your wikispace using RSS feeds. All you have to do is look for the "Subscribe" button/link on your blog page and copy and paste the feed URL into your wiki.
